On behalf of the Organizing Committee you are warmly welcomed to the First National Symposium and Exposition on Dam Safety, which was organized by Turkish Association of Dam Safety, Water Foundation, State Hydraulic Works and Eskişehir Osmangazi University. The purpose of this symposium is to provide opportunity for the dam safety community to share important information, lessons learned and new technology. The organizing committee has been working extremely hard to present a meaningful and worthwhile symposium.

I’m pleased to inform you about the establishment of a non-profit organization in Turkey. The Dam Safety Association (DSA) is the first private organization dedicated to the improvement of dam safety. DSA was founded in 2004 by some academicians and young dam engineers to serve as the premier organization for individuals committed to ensuring the safety of dams in Turkey. We are ready to provide scientific support to our state organizations, which are responsible for planning, designing and construction of dams in Turkey. We would like to invite directors of international companies to have collaboration on dam safety in Turkey.
